The Blakely story is still being researched. The site is very much a work-in-progress, so much more information will be added in the next few months.

Comments and contributions are very welcome through:

The writer would be particularly pleased to hear from descendents of Theophilus Alexander Blakely, or of his sisters, who may be able to add colour and background to his personal life, and - especially - pictorial or photographic references.

Any additional information on the works in ordnance of Bashley Britten and Robert Scott would also be welcomed.

Photographs of surviving Blakely guns are also sought to enable proper analysis of their many different forms, and, with permission, for web-publication. All due credit will be given to providers and collaborators.

Several errors of fact and grammar have been corrected since the site first opened on April 2, 2010!
